Christine's Church of the Two Grandfathers

An exciting venue is now available for local and destination weddings on the far north coast of NSW in Rous Mill, 10 minutes from the town centre of Alstonville, and 30 minutes inland from Byron Bay.

Church of the Two Grandfathers is an original and historic local church from 1897, which has been lovingly restored to enhance the original features whilst introducing 21st century facilities such as air conditioning and a PA system. The church re-opened as the nondenominational and secular Christine’s Church of the Two Grandfathers in February, and is available for bookings up to 12 months in advance.

This charming venue is the perfect backdrop for a romantic and unique wedding ceremony. Featuring established gardens, spacious boardwalk, sweeping circular drive for a glamorous entrance, original stained glass windows, original church bell and extensive lawns, all set against the background of macadamia trees, which remain a luscious green all year round. Comfortably fitting 80 seated guests with a capacity of up to 100, there is also room on the grounds to erect a large marquee for those who wish to remain on the picturesque & private estate for the entirety of their special occasion.

Christine’s Church of the Two Grandfathers is one of the only churches in the Byron Bay hinterland which is available for use for civil ceremonies.

The rural setting and private estate also enable the venue a level of flexibility not
readily available elsewhere.
